Sesuai dengan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kurang berhasil. Rendahnya penguasaan materi dalam pebelajaran tersebut dikarenakan kurang tepatnya guru memilih metode yang tepat dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, sehingga siswa menjadi tidak aktif, mudah bosan, dan kurang memperhatikan penjelasan guru. Oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa diperlukan menggunakan media KIT IPA. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi dan kegunaanya kelas IV SD Negeri Sinarjati dapat ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan KIP IPA?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi energi dan kegunaannya melalui penggunaan KIP IPA, dengan jumlah siswa 27 Orang, 14 orang laki-laki dan perempuan 13 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi tindakan, dan hasil evaluasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilakukan berdasar tahapan: (1) menyusun rencana kegiatan, (2) melaksanakan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) analisis yang dilanjutkan dengan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut hasil observasi awal peneliti dalam pembelajaran siswa kurang aktif, mudah jenuh, dan perhatian siswa pada penjelasan guru sangat kecil. Dan setelah dilaksanakan tindakan pada pada tindakan siklus 1 hasil belajar siswa dari 27 orang siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM sebanyak 15 orang atau 57,15% dan nilai ratarata 67,85, sedangkan pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 27 orang siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM sebanyak 23 orang atau 85,71% dan nilai rata-rata 80,71. Berdasar hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media KIT IPA dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA.
