The crystal structure of the title compound, 5,3′‐dihydroxy‐6,7,4′‐trimethoxyflavone, C18H16O7, isolated from Ballota limbata Linn., contains discrete molecules with normal molecular dimensions. The structure is stabilized by intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl H atoms and carbonyl O atoms, with O⋯O interactions of 2.594 (2) and 2.673 (2) Å. The flavone moiety is essentially planar with methoxy methyl groups lying 0.169 (3)–0.851 (2) Å out of the plane.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
