The authors redefine and generalize the so-called relative ratio of compactness of solid with respect to sphere and cube introduced by Mahdavi and Gurtekin. The authors propose such new indicators as a relative ratio of solid compactness in the shape of a prism-shaped solid related to a cuboid with a square base and a given height (e.g. the height of the analyzed storey), a solid compactness indicator defined for the basis of the prism relative to the square. They introduce also other indicators: a relative defect of the perimeter and area. The test of indicators formulated and described in the paper was carried out in two groups of buildings: existing (spotted locally) and those whose designs can be found in the selected catalog available on the website. In addition to the compactness ratios calculated for existing and designed buildings, an analysis of the size of the indicators for the adopted building research models was made. Proposed indicators allow for a description of the compactness of the building model with an indication of the deviation from the real ideal solid. The introduced geometric determinants of solids may be useful in the initial phase of searching for satisfactory design solutions.
Praca przedstawia badania akustyczne wybranych zabytkowych kościołów drewnianych będących częścią materialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego. Rozpatrywane obiekty przynależą do obszarów województwa śląskiego i opolskiego. Rozpatrywane w artykule obiekty to kościół świętej Barbary w Strzelcach Opolskich, kościół Narodzenia Najświęt-szej Maryi Panny w Szałszy oraz kościół świętego Jerzego w Ostropie. Pomiary akustyczne wnętrz zostały zrealizowane w ramach szerszego cyklu prac dotyczą-cych zagadnień związanych z eksploatacją i utrzymaniem obiektów o charakterze zabytkowym.
WprowadzenieEksploatacja obiektów budowlanych to złożony proces, którego elementami są użytkowanie, zasilanie, utrzymanie (zachowanie w dobrym stanie technicznym i estetycznym) i zarządzanie. Do nich należą m.in. potrzeby bytowe (np. mieszkanie) oraz, istotne z punktu
Abstract. The paper presents investigation studies on the historic climate of the interior of St. George's Church at Ostropa. The church lies on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Province within the Gliwice Loop. The building consists of a brick part (presbytery and sacristy) and a wooden part (nave, porch and tower). The shape and size of the church were formed at the end of the 17th century. Most of the decor and furnishings come from that period. Since 2008, the church has been subjected to a wide range of renovation and conservation works. The manager of the object and the conservation office have been entrusted to give special care to the polychromes in the wooden nave, brick presbytery and the main altar. Wooden elements belong to a group of organic hygroscopic materials. They are exposed to the risk of internal damage due to changes in temperature and humidity. The reduction of damage risk involves limiting the scope and dynamics of temperature or humidity changes as compared to the so-called historic climate. The parameters of the historical climate of the object were determined based on the measurement of temperature and humidity inside the investigated object.
