An ecodesign guideline tool for the aviation industry has been developed in the project Clean Sky. Following the targets of the Advisory Council for Aeronautical Research in Europe (ACARE), aircraft specific life cycle assessment data of different materials and material combinations were collected and implemented in an easy to handle database tool. The tool thereby provides a third robust basis for decision making in addition to costs and weight. The tool is focused on the end of life phase of a product, in particularly economic feasibility, separation and recycling processes
