SUMMARY
A case of human infection with Prototheca wickerhmii is described. The infection involved the skin and subcutaneous tissues of the forehead and scalp and the organism was demonstrated histologically and grown in culture. There is an early response to potassium iodide treatment but the final outcome is still uncertain.
