Phoretic females of this new species, Pediculaster eccoptomeralis Camerik n. sp. (Acari: Siteroptidae) were collected from Eccoptomera pallescens (Meigen, 1830) (Diptera: Heleomyzidae) from Grotto de Monseau Esmeux, Belgium and the second new species, Pediculaster coproxodontalis Camerik was collected from African elephant dung in Rwanda. Both new species are described and illustrated.
