We report on some thermal properties (specific heat capacity G', thermal conductivity λ, and thermal diffusivity σ) in addition to the differential thermal analysis thermogram and thermogravimetric analysis for potassium hydrogen sulphate (KHS), KHSO4 . The accurate measurements of the above-mentioned parameters as functions of temperature revealed that the compound undergoes two structural phase transitions around 100°C and 175°C. It seems also likely that the compound behaves as a poorly conducting material and hence the maul mechanism of the heat transfer is due to p h o n o n s . scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
