255ChemInform Abstract The sodium phosphites (Ia) and phosphinates (Ib) react with the chloroalkenes (II), (IV), (VI), (VII), and (IX) or the chloroacetylenes (X) to produce the oligophosphinates and phosphonates (III), (V), and (VIII). The results of the acidic hydrolysis of these compounds are described in the original paper.
ChemInform Abstract The diastereomeric 1-phenyltetralin-1,4-diphosphonic acids (IIa) and (IIb) are obtained from 1-phenylvinylphosphonic acid (I) in a Diels-Alder type dimerization reaction. The structure of (IIa) and (IIb) is proved by detailed 1H-, 13C-, and 31P-NMR studies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
