About 75 low alloy steels that have been irradiation tested at 450 to 550 F (232 to 288 C) have been chemically analyzed for copper, aluminum, total nitrogen, and combined nitrogen. Uncombined nitrogen content has been found to have a strong modifying action on the effectiveness of copper in controlling sensitivity to irradiation embrittlement at 450 to 550 F (232 to 288 C).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
