The number of electrons exchanged (n = 2), as obtained from standardisations under so-called analogue conditions, corresponds to a stochiometric reaction. Precision and reproductibility, controled by direct titration with KBrOs-indigo, are about 0.2%.
Optimal conditions were determined for the titrimetric determination of thiosemicarbazide with alcaline hypobromite solutions. It appears that the number of electrons exchanged (n = 12) corresponds to a stochiometric reaction. Precision is about 0,25% and accuracy, checked by potentiometric titration with CeIV has a mean deviation of 0,15%.
ABSTRACTHydrogen peroxide was titrimetrically determined by oxidation with alkaline hypobromite solution. The reproducibility of the results, obtained under standard conditions, was 0,20%.
