Mon ami, le Dr Marcel Couturier, lors de la dissection d'un Lagopède : Lagopus mutus helveticus (Thienemann 1829) (Fam. Tetraonidae) ♂, tué à Laurichard (Hautes-Alpes) (11 septembre 1947), trouva des Filaires dans la cavité générale ; il ne réussit pas à les obtenir en entier. Le maté riel récolté, mis aimablement à ma disposition, était en médiocre état, et consistait en deux extrémités antérieures et deux fragments (longs res pectivement de 51 et 58 mm.), pourvus de l'extrémité postérieure. Il s'agit de ♂ de D iplotriaena.
Localisation anormale de Metorchis xanthosomus (Creplin 1846) chez un canard domestique (canard d'Inde) • Le 15 juillet 1949, l'un de nous fit ingérer par un canard d'Inde (1) de 7 semaines, provenant d'une ferme des environs de Richelieu (Indre-et-Loire) où n'existait aucune collection d'eau, 15 vairons Phoxinus phoxinus (L.), 6 loches Nemachilus barbatula (L.), 6 bouvières Rhodeus amarus (Bloch), 6 épinochettes Gastrosteus pungitius L. (expérience 423/A.B.).Ces poissons provenaient d'un diverticule de la rivière La Veude, au moulin de Thuet (Indre-et-Loire). L'autopsie d'un certain nombre de ces animaux montra dans les nageoires, les branchies, les muscles du dos, de nombreuses métacercaires enkystées de Metorchis xanthosomus (Creplin) et d'autres espèces d'Opisthorchiidés (2), ainsi que d'assez rares kystes de Strigéidés.Le canard fut ensuite gardé en cage, à l'abri de tout contact avec l'eau. Sept jours après l'infestation, de nombreux oeufs de Strigéidés étaient présents dans les selles.Le 25 août, il fut procédé à un nouvel examen de selles où se trouvaient quelques oeufs, assez rares, de Metorchis.Sacrifié le 30 août, le canard fut autopsié ; le foie, criblé de granula tions peut-être tuberculeuses (dont la nature sera déterminée plus tard après examen histologique), était privé de vésicule biliaire. La partie antérieure de l'intestin grêle portait, à 10-15 cm. du gésier, une anse iso lée secondairement, dont l'extrémité sclérifiée fut sectionnée, ainsi que le représente la figure 1. La partie proximale renflée était remplie de Metorchis xanthosomus adultes ; leur nombre s'élevait à environ 300 (3). (1) Variété domestique de Cairina mosehata (L. 1758). (2) Il est possible que certains de ces kystes représentaient la forme larvaire de Metorchis de la musaraigne d'eau, Neonxus fodiens (Pallas), ichtyophage, dont le seul exemplaire que nous possédions s'est malheureusement échappé. M. albidus (M. Braun 1893) est connu comme parasite de ce Neomys à Richelieu (Indreet-Loire). (3) Nous avons été assez satisfaits des résultats de cette expérience, étant donnée la variabilité du pouvoir infestant des métacercaires d'Echinostomidés. Dans un travail antérieur [Brumpt (E.) et Buttner (A.), Ann. Parasit., XXIV, 1949], il a été signalé que deux canards ayant ingéré de nombreux poissons para sités montrèrent l'un 1.200 exemplaires adultes dans la vésicule biliaire hyper trophiée, avec de multiples lésions adénomateuses, l'autre seulement 3 exem plaires.
