Abstract

This paper aim to make it clear the characteristics and grasp the situation about housing stock (especially including vacant dwellings) in region by region, in order to find out the appropriate counter measures to improve the balance of housing stock under the situation of depopulating and aging society. Therefore this paper mainly describe following points. This paper shows a numerically model. This make it possible to grasp the dynamics of housing stocks, and it points some new facts about appropriate counter measures for vacant dwellings. In simpler terms, under the depopulating society, the number of housing stock should be downscaled appropriately. As one way to realize the appropriate scale, raising the proportion of lost is effective at the timing that a housing stock drop out of use as residence.
