Abstract

The article examines on the example of the phraseology of the epic work "the Great Kudangsa" ("Uluu Kudansa") of P.A. Oyunsky, one of the founders of Yakut literature, who stood at the origins of formation of the Yakut literary language. In the article shows the lexical means of expressiveness as variant forms of the use of phraseological units (PU) and phraseological synonyms and held their typology. The author also pays attention to the identifi cation of stylistic functions of phraseological units. It is noted that P.A. Oyunsky not so widely uses variant forms of PU. This fact is explained by the author of the article extra-linguistic factors. At the same time, phraseological units with formal and lexical variants were found in the text. The use of some lexical variants by P.A. Oyunsky is associated with the favorite means in folklore-alliteration, while other lexical variants carry their functional load and bring an additional shade to the connotations of the literary version of phraseology. It turned out that the writer, using the techniques of epic depiction in the story "Kudangsa the Great", often refers to synonymous repetitions that enhance the expressiveness of the statement and give it a special rhythm. These phraseological synonyms, differing in gradation, to varying degrees characterize the emotional state of the characters of the story, increasing its intensity; Express the intensity of the sign of action, indicating the degree of manifestation of action. Phraseological synonyms are also used by the writer to concretize the shades of meaning of actions.
