Abstract: Резюме. Актуальність. Неалкогольна жирова хвороба печінки (НАЖХП)-хронічне дифузне захворювання печінки, що включає простий стеатоз, неалкогольний стеатогепатит (НАСГ) з можливістю прогресування до цирозу або навіть гепатоцелюлярної карциноми. Відомо багато причин стеатозу печінки, однак НАЖХП асоціюється переважно з інсулінорезистентністю і метаболічним синдромом (МС), що дало підставу розглядати НАЖХП як печінкову маніфестацію останнього.
