The global competition, steadily increasing competitive pressure and higher customer expectations make it essential for a company to deal intensively with this topic. This paper identifies, due to a qualitative and quantitative research approach through problem-centered interviews and questionnaires, a general procedure and possible methods for the implementation of a process-oriented quality management system with a view on a subsequent certification in an organization. After a description of the practical procedure for the identification, analysis and documentation of existing processes in an exemplary company, the findings are summarized and an outlook on further processes and future possibilities for improvement will be offered. Eljárás és módszerek egy folyamatorientált minőségirányítási rendszer megvalósításáraA folyamatorientált minőségirányítás (PQM) hasznos eszköz az ügyfelek igényeinek kielégítésére, de speciális szabványkövetelmények is. A globális verseny, a folyamatosan növekvő versenynyomás és a magasabb vevői elvárások teszik szükségessé a vállalatot, hogy intenzíven foglalkozik ezzel a témával. Ez a dokumentum kvalitatív és kvantitatív kutatási megközelítésnek köszönhetően probléma-központú interjúk és kérdőívek segítségével azonosítja az általános eljárást és a folyamat-orientált minőségirányítási rendszer megvalósításának lehetséges módszereit a szervezet egy későbbi tanúsításával kapcsolatban. A példamutató vállalat meglévő folyamatainak azonosítására, elemzésére és dokumentálására szolgáló gyakorlati eljárás leírását követően összefoglalták a megállapításokat, és további folyamatokra és jövőbeli fejlesztési lehetőségek re vonatkozó kilátásokról számoltak be.

Background The aim of this study was to explore how the implementation of the quality management system (QM; according to DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2008) at the LIONS Eye Bank impacted the rate and reasons for discarding donated corneas. The QM system was introduced in November 2010. Material and methods The rate of and reasons for discarding cornea tissues at the LIONS Eye Bank Saar-Lor-Lux,Trier/Western Palatinate from 2006 to 2016 were analysed retrospectively. 4,140 corneas from 2,084 donors were analysed. 1,640 corneas were processed before the QM system had been introduced and 2,500 corneas thereafter. Main reasons for discarding cornea tissues were endothelial quality, contamination of the medium and a positive conjunctival swab. The data was extracted from clinical files and data filing systems, entered into a Microsoft Access database and analysed statistically with SPSS. Outcome Following the implementation of a QM system, the discard rate decreased significantly from 50.1% to 39.7% (p < 0.0001). Prior to the implementation of the QM system, 493 (30.1%) cornea tissues had been discarded due to endothelial quality, while this figure improved significantly to 604 (24.2%) after the QM system had been implemented (p < 0.0001). Contamination was the reason for discarding tissue in 173 (10.5%) cases before implementation of the QM system, and in 124 (5.0%) cases thereafter (p < 0.0001). Positive conjunctival swab was the reason for discarding tissue in 10 (0.6%) cases before the QM system had been implemented, and in 53 (2.1%) cases thereafter (p < 0.0001). Conclusion Implementation of a QM system significantly reduced the rate of discarded donor tissue in the LIONS Eye Bank. Better management of contamination as a reason for discarding cornea tissues can be attributed to improved standards, protocols and training that are part of this QM system.

Los sistemas de gestión de la calidad (SGC) son herramientas de gestión basados en el estándar internacional ISO 9001:2015 que son de gran importancia para las organizaciones de cualquier sector económico de la sociedad, que deseen impactar en la satisfacción de sus clientes, en su competitividad ante los mercados globales actuales y en el establecimiento de estándares de calidad para sus productos y servicios. En este artículo se expone el diseño del SGC a partir de la aplicación de una metodología propuesta para el caso de una empresa del sector de la construcción; entendida esta metodología como la integración de diferentes herramientas de gestión en el proceso de diseño del sistema con enfoque en el cumplimiento a los requisitos de la NTC-ISO 9001:2015. El diseño parte del análisis del nivel de madurez de la empresa para conocer la situación organizacional, según requerimientos de la norma, luego se definen los requisitos relacionados con el conocimiento del contexto de la organización, el planteamiento estratégico del SGC, la organización por procesos y la identificación y evaluación de los riesgos y las oportunidades asociadas al contexto. Se obtiene un conocimiento del estado actual de la organización y se aumenta el conocimiento sobre su contexto, se establece el sistema de gestión como herramienta de direccionamiento estratégico para la empresa, se caracterizan los procesos de forma satisfactoria, según el alcance del SGC y las intenciones de la alta dirección, se definen las medidas preventivas relacionadas con el logro de los objetivos del proceso de gestión humana, así como los objetivos del SGC. Se concluye que el diseño del SGC integrando herramientas como la evaluación de niveles de madurez, el Mapa de Supersistemas, el Balanced Scorecard, BSC, la definición de objetivos S.M.A.R.T. la administración del riesgo y metodología Xertatu:adi, permiten evaluar de maneja objetiva el cumplimiento de requisitos de la NTC-ISO 9001:2015 y establecer el sistema de gestión como herramienta de direccionamiento estratégico para la empresa.
