Abstract

The transnational feature of the Covid-19 pandemic is an indicator and result of globalization and the gradual loss of meaning of space. This global epidemic has led further increase or even reset of time and space compression and the development of new forms of behavior. This change includes the individual working, establishing relationships, using spare time, getting education, and shopping without changing place and having any time limit. Although this situation has already been there with the developments in transportation and communication technologies, which are the main reasons of globalization, it gained momentum after the epidemic and has appeared as the reason for a new social structure. This study aims to address the rapid spread of the pandemic due to globalization, as well as the social change caused by the epidemic environment and the formation of new social relations within the framework of the concept of time-space compression.
