Later, CPTs have been extensively used for diagnostic purposes but the quality of the allergen extracts and the difficulties in quantifying the amount of allergens used have cast doubts on the safety and reproducibility of this method [11,12]. However, when newer, standardized extracts were made available, Moller et al [8] showed that the CPT was the simplest challenge test to perform in humans since very few materials were required, the test was safe and the results reproducible.…”
