The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to countries worldwide, including Indonesia. With its unique archipelagic geography consisting of more than 17,000 thousand islands, Indonesia faces unique complexities in managing the spread of the virus. Based on existing literature, this review article elaborates on key issues that have shaped Indonesia’s COVID-19 response. The article begins by examining the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, along with the implementation of various preventive measures and the impact of the virus on public health. This article examines how Indonesia’s socio-economic factors have generally influenced its healthcare system and further delves into the COVID-19 response strategies implemented by the Indonesian government and public health authorities as well as overall crisis preparedness. It discusses the actions taken to control the spread of the virus, including testing strategies and vaccination efforts. The difficulties encountered in implementing these measures are presented. In conclusion, this review article provides a comprehensive understanding of the COVID-19 crisis in Indonesia, covering facts on multiple dimensions ranging from the timeline of the pandemic to vaccination efforts, epidemiology, socio-economic implications, testing strategies, mobility patterns, public holidays, the impact of working from home, and the utilization of complementary and alternative medicine in addition to the standard of care for COVID-19. The insights gained from this article can complement future strategies for pandemic management and response in Indonesia and other countries facing similar challenges.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the economy, leading to reduced reliance on consulting services by businesses aiming to save costs. Consulting firms, including those in the construction sector, experienced significant challenges, resulting in bankruptcies and financial difficulties. The pandemic’s isolation policies affected remote workers, including consultants, causing work-related stress and decreasing productivity and work engagement. This research aims to investigate the factors contributing to high turnover at PT Semar Sentinel, with a specific focus on employee engagement. The study conducted primary data collection through semi-structured interviews with five employees from the company and the questions addressed factors that required improvement. The collected data was analyzed using NVivo 14 Software, employing deductive coding and content analysis techniques. The analysis revealed seven major variables: Psychological Availability, Brand, Leadership, Performance/Opportunity, The Work, The Basics, and Company Practices. Within these variables, specific factors affecting employee engagement were identified. The study found that variables such as People Management and Emotional Energy had low performance but high importance, indicating areas requiring improvement.

The COVID-19 pandemic's outbreak hastened the digital transformation within Indonesian MSMEs. The crisis necessitated an immediate transition to online platforms to sustain business activities, driving many MSMEs to surmount previous reluctance and embrace digital technologies. This research focused on the determinant of intention and use behaviour of fintech payment system among Indonesia MSME's. This study highlights the importance and urgency of understanding the evolving dynamics of digital adoption among Indonesian MSMEs in the post-COVID era, using the UTAUT to shed light on these specific factors. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling which has selection criteria MSMEs that have engaged with fintech payment systems for at least one year. The sample size calculation utilized the Slovin formula, incorporating a margin of error of 5% got 399 respondents of MSMEs from Surabaya, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques used are the SEM-PLS using SmartPLS-4. The result finding indicate that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, and Social Influences significantly influence Behavioural Intention. However, Facilitating Conditions do not have a notable impact on either Behavioural Intention or. In addition, Behavioral Intention significantly influence Use Behaviour of fintech payment system in MSMEs. This research enhances theoretical understanding by utilizing the UTAUT model in a novel context, this study not only extends the model's relevance but also definitively ascertains the influence of factors such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on the acceptance of FinTech payment solutions. Practically, this study offers government to make MSMEs valuable guidance on formulating digital strategies and surmounting obstacles in FinTech integration. Further exploration into these facets is required in future studies and that policy formulation should better align with the unique necessities of MSMEs during their digital transformation processes.
