With Geospatial in Path of Smart City

Abstract: ABSTRACT:With growth of urbanisation, there is a requirement for using the leverage of smart city in city management. The core of smart city is Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and one of its elements is smart transport which includes sustainable transport and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Cities and especially megacities are facing urgent transport challenge in traffic management. Geospatial can provide reliable tools for monitoring and coordinating traffic. In this paper a method for … Show more

“…Ahn et al (2020) proposed a digital twin city model for effective risk-informed decision making in urban planning. In addition, a recent 3D UDT study in the Computer-Aided Virtual Environment enabled an updatable model along with interactive and immersive visualization, which aims for robust prediction of future patterns of potential risks based on physical vulnerability in urban areas (Kim, Kim, and Ham 2019). The updated UDT model allows analyzing the spatiotemporal information of physical vulnerability, which supports city decision makers to predict primary and secondary damage incurred by infrastructure failure (Ham and Kim 2020).…”

“…In this order, an application consists of a computer program used as a tool that enables a user to perform tasks, and they belong to the application software. In general, a computer application is geared toward automating complicated tasks [65,66]. As a result of technological evolution, consolidated global start-ups and suppliers constantly innovate in new applications to respond to the needs that arise.…”

“…Jensen, Gutierrez & Pedersen identify that tracking individual vehicles as a service specific challenge which demands for a specific solution [28]. Homainejad proposes a single-purpose solution to this problem, which issues an image tracking sensor infrastructure or closedcircuit television (CCTV) installation [26]. Moreover, the availability of existing infrastructures conjointly issues specific designed solutions, since the existing infrastructure determines whether solutions can successfully be integrated.…”
