Abstract-In this paper, a simple broadband circular polarization (CP) V-shaped slot antenna is developed. The CP antenna consists of Z-shaped feedline with a stub and a patch, and symmetrically etched two right-angled V-shaped slots (an open slot and a closed slot) along the center line. The stub is introduced for multi-resonances to obtain broadband. The broad CP and impedance bandwidths overlap by the symmetrically etched right-angled V-shaped closed slot along the center line and the Z-shaped feedline placed in a proper position. The measured results show that the proposed antenna has a broad overlapped 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth and −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 71% (2.19-4.6 GHz).

This paper presents a new wideband and circularly polarised (CP) slot antenna realised by using an L-shaped feed underneath the cross-slot antenna, and tapered to the conventional microstrip feed-line. The proposed antenna is fabricated with an area of 75 × 80 mm 2 . The simulated results showed that the antenna had an impedance matching bandwidth of 34% from 1.3 to 1.83 GHz, and an axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 20% from 1.36 to 1.66 GHz. A maximum gain value of 3.4 -3.8 dBi has been achieved within the operating band. The proposed antenna is of a simple and single-substrate structure, suitable for the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) application. The impedance bandwidth and radiation patterns have been confirmed by measurement.

Abstract-A compact circularly polarized antenna using a wide L-shaped slot and a microstrip feedline is proposed. The measured results demonstrate that the antenna has an axial ratio (AR) < 3 dB bandwidth ranging from 5-8.5 GHz and an S 11 < −10 dB bandwidth ranging from 4-8.6 GHz. The antenna is very simple, composed of an L-slot and a microstrip feedline placed beneath and to the edge of the L-slot. The size of the antenna is 20 × 20 mm 2 which is attractive for compact wireless devices that operate in C-band. The antenna has very low cost and does not require: a large size, truncated corners, reflecting surfaces, complex feeding structure, and via connections, which increase fabrication cost and design complexity.
