Why is China Better than Indonesia? A Psychological Analysis from the Correlation between Number of Population and Number of COVID-19 Cases

Abstract: This study aims to correlate the population and number of COVID-19 cases in 220 countries in the world. Based on data as of May 2021, the results showed a positive and significant relationship between the number of population and number of COVID-19 cases, with a correlation value of r=0.505 (p≤0.00) and one outlier, which is China which has the highest population in the world (1,439,323,776 people) but with the number of cases in the 96th place (90,799 cases).
