Where Is Aüza?

Abstract: Summary A text suggests that Aüza was probably the earliest Phoenician colony in North Africa. It has commonly been located far to the west, beyond Carthage. A more plausible location, nearer Egypt and Phoenicia, at the site known as Aziris, is here suggested.
