Abstract:Focus group interviews were conducted at a large steel manufacturing company with 1000 employees, in order to answer the research question: what is the safety culture and risk-taking like at the company, according to employees? Lower perception toward safety climate was found to be correlated with two groups of DISC's profile. Workers characterized with these two profiles are considered to have priority needs for training or to be assigned to less a hazardous workplace.
