Weld pool image procession based on the Fourier-DNA low-pass filtering

Abstract: In order to extract the character of weld pool, a new method for weld pool image procession based on the Fourier-DNA low-pass filtering is proposed. Firstly, the TIG welding technique is chosen to be the researched object. The welding experimental system is setup, which is used to capture weld pool images in real time. On this basis, Fourier transformation is performed to weld pool image, and changed the space domain to frequency domain. Then the DNA low-pass filtering is constructed. The DNA intelligent algor… Show more

“…There are a large number of transmission and distribution lines in the power system. By identifying the crossing behavior of operators, it is possible to better manage the lines, timely detect abnormal situations in the lines, and carry out maintenance [1][2][3]. Reference [4] proposes a YOLOv3 based algorithm for identifying dangerous behaviors of operators in a specific power operation scenario.…”

“…With the rapid development of computer vision and deep learning, edge detection algorithms are constantly evolving. Zhang et al [3] utilized morphology and the Canny algorithm for edge detection in CO2 welding pool images; The improved adaptive Canny edge detection algorithm proposed by Yu et al [4] demonstrated excellent performance in detecting defects on steel plates; Zhang et al [5] proposed a molten pool contour extraction algorithm based on edge-guided operator template matching; Din et al [6] used Fourier transform and DNA low-pass filtering for molten pool image processing in TIG welding.…”
