WebVR——Web Virtual Reality Engine Based on P2P network

Abstract:

WebVR, a multi-user online virtual reality engine, is introduced. The main contributions are mapping the geographical space and virtual space to the P2P overlay network space, and dividing the three spaces by quad-tree method. The geocoding is identified with Hash value, which is used to index the user list, terrain data, and the model object data. Sharing of data through improved Kademlia network model is designed and implemented. In this model, XOR algorithm is used to calculate the dista… Show more

“…This alters the VR experience from an isolated experience to a platform ion which multiple users can interact within the same virtual environment. An emerging standard for VR format on the web is WebVR [13], which provides a format for describing 3D interactive virtual environments on the web. This VR format currently supports a wide range of VR hardware including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Google Cardboard that can be used to view a VR website.…”

“…Current standards of performance evaluation for modern logistics enterprises are not scientific and systematic enough. Commonly used evaluation standards lay one-sided emphasis on importance, quantifiability, procurability and understandability while connotation of relevance similar to strategy and relevance and levels of value enhancement and other principles as important as enterprise performance evaluation implementation are not accurately decided [4][5][6][7]. Even if these principles are considered in evaluation process to some extent, they are not implemented in position resulting in accuracy decrease in performance evaluation result [8][9][10].…”

“…In the literature [7], the author proposes a simple cluster selection strategy that RSS (Received signal strength) is used as the cluster information index. In addition, for VANET, the literature [8] puts forward LocVSDP (Location-based service discovery protocol). LocVSDP uses cluster based facilities and provides time-sensitive and scalable network architecture with location-based service.…”
