Abstract:Effects of temperature, stirring and fabric thickness on washing out caustic soda in cotton fabrics were experimentally studied and theoretically analyzed by the diffusion equation assuming fabric or yarns as homogeneous substance.Experiment agreed well with the theory, and the reason why hitherto the experiment did not coincide with the theory was discussed. It was found that the contradiction is due to the fact the diffusion coefficient of washed material in fibers differs largely from that in water. So, we p… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
