Washing of Fabrics

Abstract: Effects of temperature, stirring and fabric thickness on washing out caustic soda in cotton fabrics were experimentally studied and theoretically analyzed by the diffusion equation assuming fabric or yarns as homogeneous substance.Experiment agreed well with the theory, and the reason why hitherto the experiment did not coincide with the theory was discussed.
