“…Within the simulations, the transitions near the 339 nm excitation of the à 1 A 2 ←X 1 A 1 system are considered. Figure 2 shows the setup used in the experimental studies by Kosaka et al (2018Kosaka et al ( , 2019 that are examined in this work and the numerical subdomain. A homogeneous mixture of dry air and fuel enters the experimental domain from the nozzle at ambient conditions.…”

“…In this work two experimental studies are considered. In the first one (Kosaka et al 2018), Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) and two-photon laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) of the CO molecule are used to determine the thermo-chemical state of methane-air and DME-air flames with respect to the point-wise gas phase temperatures and CO concentrations. Wall-normal profiles of species concentrations are measured using this technique in order to validate CFD predictions.…”

“…Except for developing the relevant laser diagnostics measurements in FWI in some studies, the effects of several experimental parameters including equivalence ratios, laminar and turbulent flow conditions and plate temperatures on pollutants emission characteristics were considered in the investigation of FWI through laser-based diagnostics [91][92][93][94][95][97][98][99]101 techniques.…”
