This holotype was destroyed in the process of illustration during the publication and establishment of this taxon (Blanchard 1853:172, Kulzer 1963. The illustration (Blanchard 1847) clearly shows a 5-5-4 tarsal formula, the prothorax is slightly narrower than the base of the elytra and is both described alongside taxa belonging to Promecheilidae (Blanchard 1853) and dubiously included among current promecheilid genera treated by Kulzer (1963).…”
