“…This result is comparable to the growth performance of the previous studies in which vitamin C and Cu were quantified for its adequate dietary requirement for P. monodon [14,15]. Shrimp fed diets with high Cu level had significantly depressed growth regardless of vitamin C supplementation level.…”

“…Three experimental diets, NC-NCu: basal diet supplemented with both adequate levels of vitamin C (40 mg kg diet 1 ) (L-ascorbyl-2-monophosphateMg, C2MP-Mg, 46·46% vitamin C activity, Showa Denko K. K., Tokyo, Japan) and Cu (20 mg kg diet ) and high Cu. The Cu concentrations of the three diets were analysed by flame photometry after wet decomposition according to the method of the Association of O$cial Analytical Chemists [19] to be 21·58 (NC-NCu), 161·67 (NC-HCu) and 162·42 (HC-HCu) mg Cu kg diet 1 , and vitamin C concentrations of the three diets were analysed according to Shiau & Hsu [14] to be 29·88 (NC-NCu), 30·03 (NC-HCu) and 150·59 (HC-HCu) mg C2MP-Mg kg diet 1 . The diets were prepared and stored as previously described [20].…”

“…[8] Undoubtedly, the efficacy process of VC in animal or human body is tightly related with the diffusion of VC in body fluid. [9][10][11][12][13] Most of the researches on the mechanism of the interaction between Vitamin C and water molecules are used to explain qualitatively experimental phenomenon, [14][15][16][17] while the researches on the regularity of them with molecular dynamics simulation method are few. Since body fluid is mainly composed of water, [18][19][20][21][22][23] many researches are carried out in water solution.…”
