Violência Contra a Equipe De Enfermagem Advinda De Pessoas Com Transtorno Mental

Abstract

RESUMO:Este artigo trata da pesquisa descritiva exploratória com abordagem qualitativa desenvolvida com 38 profissionais da equipe de enfermagem do pronto atendimento de um hospital geral e de ensino da cidade de Curitiba, estado de Paraná. Seu objetivo é verificar as formas de violências causadas por pacientes com transtorno mental a profissionais de enfermagem. Os dados foram coletados através de entrevista semiestruturada. Foi utilizada a técnica de análise temática categorial e os dados foram organizados em categorias. A violência vivenciada pela equipe de enfermagem provocada por pacientes com transtorno mental foi, na maioria das vezes, autoinfligida, com atos de machucar-se, tentar suicídio e contra suas famílias devido a conflitos familiares, seguida de violência verbal e, em menor proporção, de violência física contra a equipe. Há que se desenvolver e divulgar novas pesquisas com o mesmo escopo para que seja comprovado cientificamente que atribuir o caráter de violento a pacientes com transtorno mental é um mito socialmente construído. VIOLENCE AGAINST NURSING TEAM COMING FROM PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERABSTRACT: This paper address the descriptive exploratory qualitative approach with 38 professional nursing team of the emergency department of a general and teaching hospital of Curitiba city, Paraná state, aiming to verify the ways of violence caused by patients with mental disorder to nursing professionals. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews. It was used the technique of categorical thematic analysis and the data were organized into categories. The violence experienced by nursing team caused by mental disorder patients was, mostly, self-inflicted, with acts to hurt themselves, try suicide and against their families because of family conflicts, followed by verbal and physical violence, and, to a lesser extent, against the team. There is necessary to develop and release new researches with the same scope to be scientifically proven that attribute the violent nature to patients with mental disorder is a socially constructed myth.
