“…Since then, DF has become endemic in many areas of Colombia and adjacent countries (Gratz & Knudsen, 1996). Large epidemics involving several dengue viral serotypes were reported from Colombia in the 1970s (D-1 V, D-2 V and D-3 V), 1980s and 1990s (D-1 V, D-2 V and D-4 V; Boshell et al, 1986;Acosta et al, 1990).
