“…In the oral cavity, bleeding, ulceration, and infection are the complications that may develop after masticatory minor trauma. 3 Thomas et al 15 reported that infants may experience failure to thrive due to increased metabolic demand from the proliferating tissue, dysphagia from oral or airway obstruction, and feeding problems caused by oral aversion and sensory problems.
