Variabilidade de progênies F2 de amendoim geradas por meio de seleção de genitores ISSR-divergentes

Abstract: -ISSR markers were used to discriminate intraspecific peanut accessions, and to utilize the most divergents aiming to generate variability by crossing. The accessions were grown in a greenhouse and at 20 days after sowing, leaves were collected for DNA extraction and subsequent ISSR-PCR tests. Ten primers were used to generate mono and polymorphic bands. Among them, the most contributive to discriminating accessions were UBC-818 and UBC-842, which respectively produced 14 and 12 bands, and a polymorphism rate … Show more

“…Moreover, ISSR markers have a high degree of polymorphism, high reproducibility, when compared with other markers, and can achieve results in a timely and cost-effectively manner (Borba et al, 2005). Therefore, ISSR markers are very useful in studies that aim at determining the genetic distance between parents, as well as the performance of the hybrids for the construction of genetic linkage maps, and for the characterization of accessions and cultivars of several species (Santos et al, 2013;Soares et al, 2016).…”

“…In plant breeding programs focused on tolerance to abiotic stresses, the understanding of these biochemical mechanisms is critical for selection, since those procedures, based only on agronomic traits, may not reflect the actual status of the plant considering extrinsic variables associated with crop management (SANTOS et al, 2013).…”

“…Using molecular tools to select suitable parents to generate divergent populations, based on traits associated with tolerance to semiarid region, Santos et al (2013), generated a population from BR 1 (A. hypogaea subsp. fastigiata) and LViPE-06 (A. hypogaea subsp.…”

“…Breeding for drought tolerance has been an important strategy adopted by researchers to alleviate the water stress problems and to ensure the production in environments prone to drought (Pereira et al, 2012;Santos et al, 2013;Songsri et al, 2008). However, the inheritance of characters associated with drought adaptation is likely to be genetically complex, due to the number and arrangement of genes governing quantitative traits (Leal-Bertioli et al, 2012).…”
