“…In this work, the VLE of CO 2 in PZ activated aqueous AMP has been studied experimentally and theoretically at various temperatures, different relative compositions of AMP/PZ in the solution with the CO 2 partial pressure in the range of 0.1-1450 kPa. The ENRTL theory [22][23][24] has been used to develop the model for the ternary systems (CO 2 + PZ + H 2 O; CO 2 + AMP + H 2 O) [25,26] and quaternary system (CO 2 + AMP + PZ + H 2 O) to describe the equilibrium behaviour of the solvent considering the interactions of piperazine species in the liquid phase, such as piperazine carbamate, piperazine dicarbamate and protonated piperazine carbamate in the model.
