Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk (1) mengetahui pemahaman dosen Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (FT UNY) yang mengampu mata kuliah praktik kerja terhadap model pendidikan karakter untuk pembelajaran vokasi (Modikar Pekasi), (2) mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan Modikar Pekasi, dan (3) mengetahui tingkat keefektifan Modikar Pekasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan melalui metode survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah dosen FT UNY yang mengampu mata kuliah praktik kerja. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 8 dosen dengan masing-masing blok jurusan sebanyak 2 dosen ditentukan melalui teknik kuota sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat pemahaman dosen FT UNY terhadap Modikar Pekasi berada pada kategori sangat paham dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,33 dalam skala 1 – 4, (2) tingkat kepraktisan Modikar Pekasi menurut penilaian dosen adalah mudah dilaksanakan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,00 dalam skala 1 – 4, dan tingkat efektivitas Modikar Pekasi menurut penilaian dosen termasuk kategori efektif dengan nilai rerata sebesar 2,89 dalam skala 1 – 4.

Teacher's functions are to teach, educate, guide, direct, assess, and evaluate the students in the learning activities. The implementation of learning activities requires a politeness rapport between teachers and students. The famous Indonesian education figure is KH. Ahmad Dahlan. It is necessary to find the historical facts, social events, and learning activities during KH Ahmad Dahlan's time as a reflection of the implication of the current learning activities. This study aimed to describe (1) a teacher politeness concept based on KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts, and (2) its implication on early childhood learning activities. This study used a qualitative approach, literature study, and collected the data by using interviews with teachers and Muhammadiyah organization figures. The obtained data were analysed by content analysis based on Miles and Huberman models. The study result is expected to display a concept based on KH. Ahmad Dahlan and politeness practice of early childhood teachers via an online and offline learning process. The study result can be used by academicians and practitioners in the teacher politeness implementation on the early childhood learning strategy via an online and offline learning process. As for UPI campus and Muhammadiyah, they can use the study result as a guideline to develop and strengthen the early childhood teacher candidates' characters, especially related to teacher politeness based on KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thought.

KARAKTER EĞİTİMİ: KAPSAMLI BİR ALANYAZIN İNCELEMESİ ÖzEğitimde en çok araştırılan konulardan biri karakter eğitimidir. Karakter eğitiminin, değerler eğitimi ve ahlâk eğitimi gibi bazı eğitimsel yaklaşımlarla yakın bağlantıları vardır. Bu makale, çok sayıda yayından kısaca alanyazın incelemelerini sunarak karakter ve karakter eğitimi kavramlarına doğrudan değinmektedir. Ayrıca ortak özellikleri açısından ahlâk eğitimi ile değerler eğitiminden bahsetmektedir, zira hepsi birçok bakımdan birbirine benzemektedir. Karakterimiz aslında kim olduğumuzdur ve topluma saygıdeğer ve ahlâklı bir birey yetiştirmek için, etkili karakter eğitimi almak oldukça önemlidir. Bu sebeple, karakter eğitimine maruz kalmak tüm insanlar için öncelikli olmalı ve eğitimciler karakter eğitimini ciddi olarak ele almalıdırlar. AbstractOne of the most researched topics in education has been character education. It has close links with some educational approaches such as values education and moral education. This paper simply touches on the concepts of character and character education by offering literature review shortly from many publications. It also mentions moral education and values education in terms of their common qualities as they all resemble each other in a lot of ways. One's character is who we are actually and receiving effective character education is highly significant to produce a respectable, moral member for the society. Hence, being exposed to character education must be a priority for all human beings and educators need to consider it seriously.
