Resumen: La regeneración de aguas en áreas de escasez y déficit hídrico es una práctica extendida que complementa los procesos físicos y químicos propios de las plantas de tratamiento con otras tecnologías que permiten su reutilización. En este estudio, fue utilizado un sistema de fitorremediación para mejorar el tratamiento de aguas residuales industriales. Se trata de un humedal artificial horizontal de flujo subsuperficial. Phragmites australis, el carrizo común, fue la especie vegetal seleccionada por su habilidad para adaptarse al clima y por su capacidad de absorber contaminantes. Las concentraciones de nitrógeno Kjeldahl (NK), fósforo (P), boro (B) y cromo (Cr) en agua fueron analizadas y se calcularon las eficiencias. Además, la capacidad de absorción de las plantas fue analizada en las partes aérea y radicular. Los resultados del estudio mostraron que los niveles de contaminantes en agua fueron reducidos para ambos tiempos de retención hidráulicos (TRHs), siendo más efectivo para TRH = 3 días con eficiencias de remoción de 9,8, 78, 13 y 36 % para NK, P, B y Cr, respectivamente. Sin embargo, las eficiencias de absorción por P.australis en la parte aérea para NK, P y B fueron mayores a los 7 días. Por el contrario, el Cr fue retenido mayormente a los 3 días. Por lo tanto, P.australis es una especie fitoextractora ideal, que combinada con humedales artificiales reduce considerablemente los contaminantes en aguas residuales.

The EU Ecolabel is a voluntary scheme that forms part of overall EU policy to encourage more sustainable consumption and production. The award of an EU Ecolabel to a product is denoted by use of the logo "Flower". This paper provides a brief overview about EU Ecolabels with special emphasis on EU Ecolabel for footwear product group, criteria for a first assessment only and a short description of the global and European leather footwear industry. The objective of this paper is to present consumers' perception regarding Ecolabel for footwear. The current study was conducted as an exploratory survey employing quantitative methodology, for investigating ecological and quality aspects related to Eco-label for footwear items in Romania, from consumers' perception. KEY WORDS: footwear, sustainable development, sustainable consumption, Ecolabel CONSUM SI PRODUCTIE DURABILE ÎN SECTORUL DE ÎNCALTAMINTE REZUMAT. Eticheta ecologicã UE este un sistem voluntar, care face parte din politica generalã a UE de a încuraja consumul ºi producþia mai durabile. Acordarea etichetei ecologice UE unui produs este desemnatã prin utilizarea simbolului "Floare". Aceastã lucrare oferã o scurtã prezentare a etichetelor ecologice ale UE, cu accent special pe eticheta ecologicã a UE pentru grupul de produse de încãlþãminte, criterii pentru o primã evaluare ºi o scurtã descriere a industriei de încãlþãminte din piele la nivel mondial ºi european. Obiectivul acestei lucrãri este de a prezenta percepþia consumatorilor cu privire la etichetarea ecologicã pentru încãlþãminte. Studiul actual a fost realizat ca un studiu de explorare folosind metodologia cantitativã, pentru investigarea aspectelor ecologice ºi de calitate legate de eticheta ecologicã pentru articolele de încãlþãminte din România, în percepþia consumatorilor. Abstract. In this paper the mathematical modeling of collagen hydrolyzate yield from shavings, a leather waste material, is dealt. Besides its function, leather industry is perceived as a consumer of resources and producer of pollutants. The process of alkaline enzymatic hydrolysis offers a reasonable method of processing part of solid waste arising from leather industry with the aim of further utilization of collagenous share. The model is based on the total mass and dry matter balances of technology and its individual components to optimize the hydrolysate yields. The results are visualised in 3D. The experimental laboratory data of alkaline enzymatic hydrolysis are used for comparison with the model and are discussed.
