“…Several relatively new Driving‐Specific Tools (Table 2B) were found to be predictive. DriveAware (Kay, Bundy & Clemson, 2009b), a self‐report questionnaire taking 10–20 minutes to administer and DriveSafe (Kay et al. , 2009a), a visual recognition test projected onto a screen taking 20–30 minutes to administer, when administered together and measured against an on‐road driving assessment, have sensitivity/specificity ranging from 42/97 to 95/45 depending on the cut‐offs used (Kay et al.…”

“…An individual with insight, but with impairments in other components of EF, may be able to compensate by adopting less risky driving behaviour (Daigneault et al. , 2002), whereas an individual with reduced self‐awareness is likely to be unsafe regardless of how he scores on other EF constructs (Kay et al. , 2009b).…”

“…There are a number of assessments which evaluate visual attention however, we elected to administer the DriveSafe assessment tool as it assesses visual attention in a series of driving scenes and also considers awareness of functional limitations [48]. DriveSafe produces an overall score and has also been validated against on-road driving performance [49]. …”
