The developed ABBV gel showed more resistance to viscosity changes due to SVF absorption and thus showed better retention than the commercial vaginal gel/cream which started to leak within 5-6 h. Besides, creams do not have the capacity to absorb and hold fluid since bioadhesive gels do and leak out when the surface of the vaginal wall gets lubricated by simulated vaginal fluid.…”
