Vaccinating children against varicella: are two doses of vaccine necessary?

Abstract: Varicella is a mild childhood disease. Serious UVODVirus Varicela zoster (VZV) je herpesvirus, ki ob prvi okužbi povzroča norice. Po okužbi ostane latentno prisoten v senzornih ganglijih in se pri približno 30 % ljudeh reaktivira, kar se odrazi kot Herpes zoster (pasavec). Norice so običajno blaga otroška bolezen.
