The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and the Internet of Flying Vehicles (IoFV) are integral components of intelligent transportation systems with the potential to revolutionize the way we move people and goods. Although both the IoV and IoFV share a common goal of improving transportation efficiency, safety, and sustainability, they possess distinct characteristics and face unique challenges. To date, the existing literature has predominantly focused on specific aspects of either the IoV or IoFV, but a comprehensive review comparing and contrasting the two domains is still lacking. This review paper aims to address this gap by providing an in-depth analysis of the key differences between the IoV and IoFV systems. The review will examine the technological components, network infrastructure, communication protocols, data management, objectives, applications, challenges, and future trends associated with both domains. Additionally, this paper will explore the potential impact of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain. Ultimately, the paper aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the implications and potential of these technologies, both in the context of transportation systems and beyond.

At the beginning of the 21st century, the world is undergoing a global computerisation of both production and the global economy.Digitalisation is optimising costs and opening up new sources of income.Statistical observation has shown that the Russian Federation has a low Logistics Performance Index. Furthermore, there is an inequality in digitalisation in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The article examines the problems and prospects of digitalisation in the transport and logistics industry. The main problems are the lack of competent, professional staff, as well as inefficient management. The question of the transition from a more extensive model of transport and logistics infrastructure development using digital technology to an intensive model that improves the quality of services provided and, consequently, competitiveness arises. The most innovative technologies used by companies are identified. It is concluded that the use of digital technologies in the transport and logistics industry has a direct impact on the quality of services provided, ensures road safety, and contributes to the optimization of logistics processes

Spatial and temporal characteristics of the propagation channel have a significant influence on multiantenna method applicability for fifth-generation- (5G-) enabled Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, the statistical characteristics of a novel three-dimensional (3D) geometric-based stochastic model for next-generation vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications under the nonisotropic scattering environment are investigated. In both line-of-sight (LoS) and non-line-of-sight (NLoS) conditions, the proposed model investigates the spatial, frequency, and temporal domain statistical distribution of multipath received signals by using the time-variant transfer function for indoor environments. The probability density function (PDF) of separation distance between the transceiver antennas, angle-of-arrival (AoA), and angle-of-departure (AoD) in the azimuth and elevation planes is derived by using closed-form expressions. For the space, time, and frequency correlation function (STF-CF), a precise analytical expression is derived based on MIMO antenna system. We further determine the effects of several model parameters on the V2V channel performance, such as tunnel width, antenna array spacing, Ricean K -factor, and moving velocity. The statistical characteristics of the MIMO channel model are validated by simulation results, confirming the flexibility and effectiveness of our proposed model in the tunnel scenario.
