UV-TO-FIR ANALYSIS OF SPITZER /IRAC SOURCES IN THE EXTENDED GROTH STRIP. I. MULTI-WAVELENGTH PHOTOMETRY AND SPECTRAL ENERGY DISTRIBUTIONS

Abstract: We present an IRAC 3.6+4.5 µm selected catalog in the Extended Groth Strip (EGS) containing photometry from the ultraviolet to the far-infrared and stellar parameters derived from the analysis of the multi-wavelength data. In this paper, we describe the method used to build coherent spectral energy distributions (SEDs) for all the sources. In a companion paper, we analyze those SEDs to obtain robust estimations of stellar parameters such as photometric redshifts, stellar masses, and star formation rates. The c… Show more

“…Both the MOIRCS Deep Survey and FIREWORKS also include Spitzer/ IRAC and MIPS photometry from the Spitzer Space Telescope Legacy Program (Dickinson et al 2003). In the EGS, we use the catalogs published in Barro et al (2011), which incorporate u-band and optical photometry from the CFHTLS, 7 near-IR photometry from Bundy et al (2006), 4 bands of IRAC imaging from Barmby et al (2008), and MIPS 24 μm imaging from the MIPS GTO and FIDEL surveys. In addition, we use NUV fluxes from the source catalog of the GALEX public data release GR6 in each of our fields.…”

“…Specifically, for galaxies in the GOODS-N field, we use ground-based U-band photometry, b 435 v 606 i 775 z 850 , and JHK s measurements provided by the MOIRCS Deep Survey (Kajisawa et al 2011). For galaxies in the EGS, we use ground-based ugriz and J, K, and K s photometry from Barro et al (2011), and for galaxies in the GOODS-S field we use U 38 BVRI photometry, z 850 measurements, and VLT/ISAAC JK s …”

“…A number of multi-wavelength photometric catalogs have been produced in the EGS field, (Bundy et al 2006;Ilbert et al 2006;Barro et al 2011a;Whitaker et al 2011 andSkelton et al 2014). This section compares the CANDELS multi-wavelength photometry to the three publicly available catalogs that have a broad wavelength coverage and include the IRAC bands.…”
