Uterine Deciduoma Induction: Comparison of Direct Mechanical Trauma With Systemic Pyrathiazine

Abstract: Uterine deciduoma induction in rats by the systemic administration of the antihistamine, pyrathiazine, was compared with induction by intraluminal scratching. Intraperitoneal injection of pyrathiazine hydrochloride (25 mg.) was effective as a deciduoma inducer in 52 % of the animals.Intrauterine scratching resulted in a higher water content of the uterus than pyrathiazine treatment.
