In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of the support education program applied to gifted primary school students Science and Art Centers on the motivation and attitudes of mathematics, science, social studies and Turkish lessons. In the study, pre-post test experimental design without control group was used. 17 gifted primary school 4th grade students studying at a Science and Art Center in the Eastern Black Sea Region (in the support education program) were included in the study with convenient case sampling. Motivation and attitude scales developed by different researchers for mathematics, science, social studies and Turkish lessons were used to collect the data obtained within the scope of the study. The data were analyzed with a statistical program. In the result of study, it was concluded that the support education program did not cause significant difference in the motivation and attitudes of the students the Turkish lesson. It was found that support education program didn’t show significant difference in students' motivation in social studies and mathematics lessons, but showed a significant difference in their attitudes. In addition, it was concluded that support education program had significant difference the motivation the students the science lesson, but there was no significant difference in their attitudes towards the lesson.

The purpose of this research is to examine the perceptions of gifted and typically developing students regarding the COVID-19 epidemic through metaphors. In the study, in which phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used, the data were obtained by demographic information form and semi-structured interview form. A total of 130 students, 69 of whom are typically developing and 61 gifted, who are 5-8th grade students between the ages of 10-14, were studied in the city center of Amasya. The students' “COVID-19 epidemic is like …….. Because ………………..” when their answers to open-ended sentence completion are examined; the first three metaphors most frequently used by gifted students regarding COVID-19 are in the category of limiting and/or changing habits (f=18), fatal (f=15), and contagious and/or chronic (f=11). When we look at the metaphors of the students with typical development regarding COVID-19, the first three categories are limiting and/or changing habits (f=17), fatal (f=13), and preventable and/or temporary (f=12) categories. As a result of the research, it was found that both groups used metaphors that they were generally negatively affected by the epidemic process, and discussions and suggestions were made through literature studies.

Araştırmanın amacı işletme ve sosyoloji öğrencilerinin bilime olan bakış açılarının metaforlar yardımıyla incelenmesidir. “Öğrenme inşa etmektir” metaforundan hareketle eğitimin öğrencilerin üstbiliş ve öğrenme süreçleri üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak için yorumlayıcı bir metodoloji ile yapılandırmacı bir çerçeve kullanılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemi olarak Kütahya Dumlupınar Üniversitesi’nde eğitim gören işletme ve sosyoloji bilimi öğrencileri olarak belirlenmiştir. Katılımcılardan “Bilimi ……. ya benzetirim; çünkü……… Bilimsel araştırma sürecini ……. benzetirim; çünkü…………… Bilim insanını ………. ya benzetirim çünkü……..” şeklinde metaforlar geliştirmesi istenmiştir. Metafor, yapılandırmacılıkla tutarlı öğrenme süreçleri hakkında öğrencilerle iletişim kurmak için kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin bilim hakkındaki düşüncüleri metaforlarla incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya 195 katılımcı katılmıştır. Örneklemin sadece Kütahya Dumlupınar Üniversitesi sosyoloji ve işletme öğrencilerden oluşması araştırımın sınırlılıklarıdır. Metafor geliştirirken işletme öğrencilerinin daha çok ekonomik süreçlerden, sosyoloji öğrencilerinin çevre ve doğa ile ilgili süreçlerden etkilendiği bulgulanmıştır. Metafor ile ilgili araştırmaların daha çok mesleki eğilimlere yöneldiği görülmektedir. Araştırma öğrencilerin aldıkları eğitimin bilim algılarına etkisine odaklanmaktadır. Öğrencilerin bilime karşı oluşturdukları algıda eğitimin büyük etkisi olduğu görülmektedir. Öğrencilerin kendi eğitim aldıkları sosyal bilimi doğayı anlamak için kullanabilecekleri görülmektedir.
