Using next‐generation sequencing for molecular reconstruction of past Arctic vegetation and climate

Abstract: Palaeoenvironments and former climates are typically inferred from pollen and macrofossil records. This approach is time-consuming and suffers from low taxonomic resolution and biased taxon sampling.
