The software development process needs specific and studied steps within a reliable plan to achieve the requirements for the success of any project. Software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies have provided several models that meet the needs of the various proposed projects. These methodologies present various scenarios that can be applied in the process of developing systems to make them more efficient and predictive. The paper aims to illuminate the paramount Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies by conducting a comprehensive review of the pros and cons of the various models widely used for software design. Furthermore, the paper discusses fundamental trajectories that are shaping the future landscape of SDLC methodologies. This review included two main types of software development life cycle approaches such as traditional SDLC (heavy-weight) and agile SDLC (light-weight) approaches. The traditional approach included several models such as the Waterfall model, Iterative model, Spiral model, V-Model, and Big Bang Model. Whereas, the agile approach included various models such as the eXtreme Programming (XP) Model, scrum Model, Feature Driven Development (FDD) Model, and Kanban Model. A comprehensive analytical study of all software development life cycle models was achieved and highlighted their most prominent strengths and weaknesses of them. SDLC methodologies wield substantial ramifications across a multitude of sectors, contingent upon several models tailored to individual developmental and research contexts. In culmination, the paper furnishes an all-encompassing perspective on paramount SDLC models, encompassing two principal paradigms: the traditional and the agile approaches. These encompass fundamental sub-models that encapsulate pioneering models poised for application in system development, thus facilitating their refinement more efficiently and predictably.

The Rejosari Village Hall provides a manual letter submission service which is sometimes problematic, including when residents are about to submit an application letter, they have to come directly to the village hall office while the residents are still out of town. Apart from that, there was no media information which resulted when they were going to submit the requirements for the letters they brought were not in accordance, then from the data collection, and the letters were still in the books. Therefore we need a service system for the submission of letters. This integrated service system for residents of Rejosari Village is a web-based information system, the use of technology in the form of a website makes it easier to receive all forms of existing information. The Extreme Programming (XP) method is applied in developing this system, a software engineering process that refers to an object-oriented approach. The stages of this method start from the planning, design, coding and testing stages using black box testing with descriptive analysis techniques, which produce tests in the form of a proportion value of 96.42% and have a possible interpretation. In addition, this system can impact progress in the field of informatics in the form of information media as well as learning materials.

Extreme Programming or XP Model is an application development framework used to create applications that require rapid adaptation. Even in the condition that the application is still in use, the use of this development model is quite appropriate if it is applied to the development of Several features of Bioinformatics Applications. The widespread use of interoperability features found in many applications has made it easier for many system developers to develop applications on various system devices. Likewise, bioinformatics applications that carry out various in silico studies. Application development using the XP Model for special applications that are rarely used for feature additions, the difficulty is implementing rapid adaptation to interoperability feature development without design and analysis of specific applications. The contribution of this paper is to make notes and blueprints for adding interoperability features for bioinformatics applications. Besides that, the XP model is a different method when used to carry out the application development process, especially if it is used to add features to special applications. The success obtained in the development of this application cannot be separated from the advantages of the XP model itself, because the XP model can be implemented in conditions of lack of human resources and the possibility of applying practical principles and techniques in the process. As a result, development is carried out quickly and the application runs well through testing results and then applications can be used to perform processes in silico through interaction between applications to applications to the dataset provider.
