Using AHP in patent valuation

Abstract: As the knowledge economics grows rapidly, the value of intangible assets is more emphasized in business nowadays. Intangible assets include intellectual capital and intellectual property. Intellectual property is often protected by patents, which are the claims for intellectual property. Since the enterprise is willing to pay the patent for the sustainable growth, we propose an objective scoring system, which is implemented by AHP, for patent valuation of enterprise.
