“…In the attempt to respond to these interests, the data that constituted the Report that had been produced in the first stage of the action research process (2005 -2006) began to be analyzed. These data were related to the socio-environmental diagnosis and to the health/disease representations of the local indigenous population (Giatti et al, 2007;Toledo et al 2006;2009). It is important to highlight that this document was one of the main subsidies for the course, because, although there was the collaboration of the Indians who participated in the action research, it was necessary to deepen the discussion of some themes, aiming to qualify and strengthen the group, and to enable that the Report was effectively legitimated as a political instrument.…”
