Indonesia is currently facing extremism, radicalism, hate speech, and the breakdown of interfaith relations, which require that teachers fulfill their roles in developing students' religious moderation behavior. This study aims to describe the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in developing students' religious moderation behavior at MAN Bintan. This research is classified as qualitative research when viewed from the aspect of data. The research activity was conducted at MAN Bintan from January to April 2022. The subjects for data collection in this study were Guidance and Counseling teachers. Data collection was performed through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting, and verifying the data. The findings of this study demonstrate that Guidance and Counseling teachers play a central role in the development of students' religious moderation behavior at MAN Bintan, which is reflected in their roles as informants, facilitators, motivators, and mentors. Abstrak: Bangsa Indonesia sedang menghadapi ekstremisme, radikalisme, ujaran kebencian, hingga retaknya hubungan antarumat beragama sehingga guru dituntut untuk melaksanakan perannya dalam rangka mengembangkan perilaku moderasi beragama siswa. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam mengembangkan perilaku moderasi beragama peserta didik di MAN Bintan.Penelitian ini tergolong kepada penelitian kualitatif bila dilihat dari aspek datanya. Kegiatan penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Bintan dari bulan Januari hingga April tahun 2022. Subyek untuk perolehan sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah guru Bimbingan dan Konseling. Pengumpulan data terlaksana melalui kegiatan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi, display dan verifikasi data. Temuan penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa guru Bimbingan dan Konseling memainkan posisi sentral dalam pengembangan perilaku moderasi beragama peserta didik di MAN Bintan yang tercermin dari perannya sebagai informator, fasilitator, motivator, dan pembimbing.

Religious Moderation is very relevant to Indonesia's pluralistic conditions. Religious people are no longer reluctant to acknowledge others, be tolerant, respect various thoughts, reduce fanaticism and violence, and strengthen national insight. The Religious Moderation Module in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia is limited to integrating moderate values ??into Core Competencies (KI), Basic Competencies (KD), and Learning Outcomes (CP). This study aims to identify the values ??of Religious Moderation contained in PAI for class IX SMP and their integration into the Lesson Plan (RPP). In this study, researchers used a qualitative research approach of content analysis or commonly known as qualitative content analysis (QCA). In conclusion, the values ??of Religious Moderation contained in the textbook for PAI and Budi Pekerti Class IX SMP are textual and contextual. These values ??include i'tidal (perpendicular), tasamuh (tolerance), shura (deliberation), tawassuth (moderation), islah (improvement), qudwah (pioneering), muwathanah and (love of the homeland). These values ??are spread out in Basic Competencies in odd semesters and even semesters.

This study aims to explore the role of Kyai and Ustadz in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. The study was conducted at four Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan, namely Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan, Pondok Pesantren Hasanka, Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum, and Pondok Pesantren Darul Amin Sampit. This study is a qualitative study with an interpretive paradigm. The study was conducted from April to September 2021. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentary studies. Informants in this study were educators in Pondok Pesantren, namely Kyai, Ustadz, and teachers who teach. The data obtained were then analysed using interactive qualitative analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study found that there are five roles of Kyai and Ustadz in religious moderation education, namely the role of conservator, innovator, the role of transmitter, the role of a transformer, and role of organiser. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that there is a connectivity between academic and managerial dimensions in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. At this level, Kyai and Ustadz not only play a role in providing understanding and knowledge regarding religious moderation but also carry out managerial activities so that religious moderation education can be carried out and be successful.Keywords: Religious Moderation; Pondok Pesantren; Kyai; Ustadz
