Improving the electrochemical properties of membranes in lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) is very important. Many attempts have been made to optimize ionic conductivity of membranes. The aim of this study was fabricating composite nanofiber membranes of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF), containing titanium dioxide (TiO2) and graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles to use in LIBs as separators. The morphology, crystallinity, porosity, pore size, electrolyte uptake, ionic conductivity, and electrochemical stability of the membranes were investigated using scanning electron microscopy, wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and linear sweep voltammetry. The electrolyte uptake and ionic conductivity of the PVDF/TiO2/GO composite nanofiber membranes containing 2 wt % GO were 494% and 4.87 mS cm−1, respectively, which were higher than those of the other fabricated membranes as well as the commercial Celgard membrane. This could be attributed to the increased porosity, larger surface area, and higher amorphous regions of the PVDF/TiO2/GO composite nanofiber membranes as a result of the synergistic effects of the nanoparticles. In this work, suitable optimized membranes with greater electrochemical stability compared with the other membranes were presented. Also, it was demonstrated that the incorporation of the TiO2 and GO nanoparticles into the PVDF nanofiber membranes led to a porous structure where the electrolyte uptake enhanced. The electrospun of the Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) blend with epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) is fabricated using the electrospinning technique. Research shows that ABS/ENR electrospun fibres have not been studied. The effects of electrospinning parameters were investigated to determine a significant effect on the microstructure, surface roughness, fibre diameter, and fibre distribution of the electrospun membranes. Sample preparation is made straightforwardly by dissolving ABS and ENR in acetone solvent using a magnetic stirrer. In this research, there are two solution parameters being studied: the ABS/ENR solution concentration (15 to 25 wt.%) and the ratio of ENR (100:0, 70:30, 50:50). Meanwhile, process parameters that are being studied are applied voltage (15 kV to 30 kV) and distance from syringe tip to collector (5cm to 15cm). FTIR results showed that hydrogen bond interaction occurs between ABS and ENR. According to the SEM images, micrometre and sub-micrometre fibres with a smooth surface and bead formation were produced at a concentration of 25%, a ratio of 70:30, a voltage of 30kV, and a distance of 15cm. The diameter of electrospun fibres increases with increasing solution concentration, ranging from 400 nm to 4.5 µm. The diameter of the electrospun fibres decreased with the addition of ENR, increasing voltage, and tip-to-collector distance. TGA results showed that ABS/ENR blends gave higher degradation temperature (393.7°C) than pure ABS (368.8°C), which enhanced thermal stability.

Adverse effects of a high-water absorption rate on properties of a glass fiberreinforced polyamide 6 (GF-PA6) composite significantly reduce performance and limit application in humid environments. In this paper, a polyfunctional silane (PFS) coupling agent with amino (-NH 2 ) and imino (-NH) groups and styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN) were added to a composite, GF-PA6, to prepare GF-PA6/SAN/ PFS composites via melt blending in a twin-screw extruder. The effects of SAN and PFS content on the static and dynamic mechanical properties of the composites before and after water absorption were investigated in detail. The microstructure of the fracture surface was analyzed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the addition of SAN and PFS could effectively inhibit water absorption of the GF-PA6 composites. The alkoxyl groups on PFS reacted chemically with the nitrile groups of SAN, which enriched SAN on the interface between the fiber and matrix during the extrusion and mixing process to improve the effect of water prevention. Therefore, the mechanical properties of the wet state were notably improved while preventing water from permeating the interface by only the addition of a small amount of SAN and PFS. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) results showed that the addition of PFS improved the compatibility of PA6 with SAN and enhanced the interface adhesion between fiber and PA6. In terms of test result of the comprehensive performance, 10 phr SAN with 0.6 phr PFS was the best dosage.
