Thallium intoxication in the dog has presented a difficult and frustrating problem to the veterinarian since its inception as a pesticide in the early 1920's. In our hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, these cases are increasing in frequency. This report concerns a group of 83 cases (76 dogs and seven cats) which was presented at our hospital.As a background for this report, a brief review of the pertinent literature is presented.
